Using a voice recorder

using voice recorders
my voice is clear, but there is quite a lot of back ground noise such as a closing door.  There is no noise from the actual mic and it is at a good distance away from me, as you can hear my voice clearly.

My Report

My Report

The first demo that our group decided to created was a CHR format and we named it pulse FM, the type of listener that we are aiming at are young adults, from the ages of 16+ into late 20’s.  The reason to me as to why we chose this format is because it is something that all of us have heard off as it is one of the most likely formats we would listen to also we know what this audience wants as we are within that audience. When it came to the job roles for this demo the once that I got where the advertising production and the promotion team, I am very happy at the fact I got these job roles for the fact that I like designing and am quite creative in general so it will be fun designing a logo and merchandise and picking the adverts to put on the actual radio. Our ideas for this demo are quite simple as being part of this audience we should know at least something that our listener is looking for. We are going to have the latest music, the news is going to be short as most young people are only really wanting to know if its going to rain or not, the actual chat is going to be light banter just enough that our listeners feel welcome chilled out and alive unlike one of our competitors who would be radio 1 and the Chris Moyle’s show as to me he sometimes chats TO MUCH, which can leave the listener getting bored and changing station, we aim to keep the audience engaged by not chatting to much and keep the songs flowing.

The second demo that our group decided to create was a GOLD format and we called it wise FM, the type of listener that we are aiming at here are aged 50+. The reason as to why we chose this format is because it is the total opposite to our first demo; this means it will give us more of a challenge as we are looking at a completely different audience as well as unlike our first demo, it will have a different type of music, more of the older classics, there will be more news as the older generation like to know more about what’s going on around them and when it comes to the actual banter it will be a lot more complex. For this demo the job roles I got given were producer/ broadcast assistant and a presenter, these jobs are a lot different to what I got in our first demo, I’m not as comfortable with these as I am with  the others this is because they are things that  I haven’t done before but I think it will be a good experience and I should gain new skills.

With out the show there would be light banter not as much as some shows such as Chris moyels on radio 1 this is because we are aiming more at the younger adults. And they wouldn’t really just want to listen to someone talk they are listening for the music.

Where did you find this (Internet, newspaper, personal experiences?
Other radio stations influenced our show and have showed us what we don’t want.
Personal experiences
Books
Newspaper
Internet

How can I get the listener involved (competitions, phone in)?
There will be competitions for tickets to gigs, concerts, holidays and money.
There can be phone ins and text ins for song requests and to participates in competitions and in general chat.

Why is it this relevant to the listener
it makes them feel alive, and welcome by the presenters it gets them involved.

our target audience are young adults and they tend to not to be to keen on adverts and to much news, so it is logical that we use light banter, a lot of music, some news, competitions, and odd debates.
